BahadırSevgin

It started with folk dance.
Bahadır Sevgin first danced as a child, in Turkish folk dance. In 2008 he found Capoeira and Latin dance, and slowly the interest moved to the centre of his life.
In the years since, he has stood on almost every side of the dance. He competed. He taught, trained competitors, and built show groups that went on stage. He judged from the floor, and worked as a scrutineer at the electronic desk where results are calculated. Each role showed him the same dance from a different place.
He took part in the work of the Electronic Desk Adjudicators' Board and the Salsa Adjudicators' Board of the Turkish Dance Sports Federation (TDSF). Over those years he worked with leading teachers and dancers from Turkey and abroad.
Today he teaches group classes at Academia Dance Sports Club in Bursa. His classes go beyond steps: he teaches the dance, the music, the culture behind it and the stage together. Where a figure comes from, what in the music it answers and how it lives on stage is what the classes are really about.
